CHILDREN

We pay particular attention to children’s safety on board our vehicles.

Before purchasing a ticket or a weekly/monthly ticket, we kindly invite you, as a parent (or a guardian), to check these conditions concerning minors on board. Except in the case of students, minors under the age of 14 are not allowed on board unless they are accompanied by a parent (or guardian).

Minors under the age of 14 can travel accompanied by a person other than the parents (or guardian), provided that the parents (or guardian) give their consent through a parental consent letter , undersigned and enclosed with a copy of their documents, that must be exhibited to the crew upon departure.  Please note that the validity of the parental consent is limited to one single journey (to be understood as a one-way and/or return journey) with a specific destination.

Minors who have reached the age of 14 can travel unaccompanied,
upon exhibition, together with their ticket, of the parental consent signed by both parents (or guardian) and enclosed with a copy of their identification documents.

CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS ON THE BUS

The accompanying person is required to ensure that the minor wears the safety belts on board the vehicle, in compliance with the provisions of the Conditions of Carriage.

Children up to 3 years of age can travel without the need to use child restraint devices, even if installed.

Children over 3 years of age, and weighing less than 36 kg, must wear the child restraint systems provided on the bus,  for which use by children is compatible, and only if they are certified. In the absence of a child restraint system, seat belts must be used only if their use is compatible to children. In the event of non-compliance with the above requirements, the person responsible for the supervision of the minor on board is  deemed responsible for any injuries that the minor might suffer during the journey.

In any case, passengers – including adults – are obliged to comply with the obligation to wear the seat belts when they are seated and the vehicle is in motion.
